Residents at Nutrition Mobile Pantry Distributions:
“I just want to say thank you for bringing nutrition food program to the City of Flint.  The nutrition food truck program has been so helpful and to so many families in our city and the wonderful thing about the foods that are given from this program is that it not only helps fight lead issues but it is also helping people with diabetes health issues. I thank God for all the help that the State of Michigan is doing to help the people of Flint with the lead crises issue.”“I appreciate the produce from the nutrition tuck provides for my family of three.  The fresh fruits and vegetables provide a well-balanced diet.  I look forward to coming when the nutrition truck comes to the center.  Again, thanks so much.”

Terry, 57, goes to the nutrition trucks every chance he gets. Without the food, he says his family wouldn't make it. He said he makes healthier recipes and eating decisions when using the food from the mobile nutrition trucks.

He feels that he makes healthier decisions and recipes when using the food from the nutrition trucks.
Laura utilizes the help centers and nutrition trucks at least twice a week and actively shares links on Facebook to let people know when and where the mobile nutrition trucks will be. She likes these services because they “ensure that you can get the food that’s good to combat lead while helping with food budgets.” She has often shared extras with people who are immobile in the community or who cannot get to the distribution sites. She says that many in the community have shared recipes with one another to best utilize the lead-mitigating foods in recipes.
