Residential Sampling

Why it Matters: Getting your water tested helps you determine if there is lead or copper in your water. Knowing that you have excess lead or copper in your water is the first step to helping fix your water.

Water testing for all Flint residents is free. The results are complete within 3 to 4 days and then mailed through the USPS.

For test kits and drop-off locations, go to water resources. Or go to http://flintcares.com/pods. You may also call 2-1-1.

A summary of all residential test results is posted online. For a complete listing of test results, in both Adobe (pdf) and Excel (.xls) go to the test results page and scroll down to the residential test results.

Metric: The number of water customers that have had their water tested.
